The 'lost wax' method is employed at the Shidoni Foundry (Santa Fe, NM) to create bronze sculptures.
The molds are preheated, bronze ingots are melted, and molten bronze is poured into the molds.
After lengthy cooling, the molds are destroyed and the bronze castings are cleaned and sand-blasted.
